--Roman glass objects have been recovered across the Roman Empire in domestic, industrial and funerary contexts. Glass was used primarily for the production of vessels, although mosaic tiles and window glass were also produced. Roman glass production developed from Hellenistic technical traditions, initially concentrating on the production of intensely colored cast glass vessels. However, during the 1st century AD the industry underwent rapid technical growth that saw the introduction of glass blowing and the dominance of colorless or ‘aqua’ glasses. Production of raw glass was undertaken in geographically separate locations to the working of glass into finished vessels, and by the end of the 1st century A.D. large scale manufacturing resulted in the establishment of glass as a commonly available material in the Roman world, and one which also had technically very difficult specialized types of luxury glass, which must have been very expensive.

--Bringing history to present day life, Roman Glass Jewelry is handcrafted from fragments of ancient 2000-year-old glass that have been carefully recovered from archaeological sites in modern-day Israel and Italy.

--Now you can create or accent web or scrapbook pages, elements, ornaments, frames, alphas, jewelry and more with this set of digitally created Roman Glass layer styles for Photoshop 7 and above and PS Elements 7 and Above.

--These layer styles have athe look of "pieced together" glass artifacts found in the Roman Empire which can be quite rare. Great for urns, vases, jewelry, borders, shapes, etc.

--Each style is different and all were created from seamless patterns that I designed or modified myself.

--As usual, these layer styles were created with seamless patterns/textures that were set at 300 dpi-making them totally adjustable to almost any size you need. They can be used for both web and print designs.

--For best results, always start the new image you plan to style at 300 dpi. (since the layer styles were created at 300 dpi)
