SAKURA: "Cherry Blossom" and "Sakura"
A cherry blossom is a flower of many trees of genus Prunus. The most well-known species is the Japanese cherry, Prunus serrulata, which is commonly called Sakura
(桜 or 櫻; さくら).
They are widely distributed, especially in the temperate zone of the Northern Hemisphere including Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Mainland China, Nepal, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Myanmar, Thailand and West Siberia. Along with the chrysanthemum, the cherry blossom is considered the national flower of Japan.
The cherry blossom or Sakura is often said to symbolize "New Beginnings." It blooms in the Springtime only in the USA-a popular appearing as beautiful rows of trees line the streets of the nation's capitol: Washington, DC. --Beautiful cherry blossoms and symbols of Japan were chosen for this set of 20 seamless textures/tiles/patterns. Each texture is 300 dpi meaning, they can be used for printing or the web.

--Clicking on the thumbnails will show you swatches of each seamless texture as well as some styled examples of images to give you a closer look at more. Most images are shown with the textures 50% of size. (at least)
