--When I first started learning digital art, one of the first things I had a really hard time creating were wicker baskets! These styles are for all of you out there who have had or are having the same challenge! They are also for those of you who just want to make creating a nice woven basket a little bit easier or save yourself some time.
--Most of these are the conventional tan/brown combination weave. I also included some green, golden tans, brighter color combinations and stripes that will be nice for Easter baskets! I even included a pair of grey-scale basket styles-for those of you who just want to create a greyscale basket and then colorize it to match your own personal designs.
--Don't be afraid to mix and match colors-many of these coordinate nicely together. Play around with the shading too-because depending on the shape of the basket you are styling-you might need to to make it look more pleasing to your eye. That's the great thing about layer styles: they are completely adjustable to your needs and taste.
--Designer Tips:
1) At first glance, several of these might look exactly alike. But they aren't and once you apply them to your layer, you will see what I mean. The major reason I made them this way is that most baskets have handles, bases and rims around the top and I found that I needed 2 or 3 styles with the same patterns inside but with much different bevels or shading to make them look convincing. Even so, you can still have a nice looking basket with just 2 or 3 clicks of your mouse and these styles!
2) There is a mini-tut on product page two that shows how to take a fruit basket template-slice it up and apply layer styles. The end result being quick and easy! (a little 'extra'...just for you!)
